Oakington Manor Mass Choir in Brent Choir of the Year!

Our fantastic school choir have been selected as finalists for the second year running!

Last year we achieved a Platinum Award and runner-up status with our rapturous performance of Joyful, joyful (Sister Act2). We received a very positive feedback from a panel of judges, inclusive of the Head of Music in Brent, the Head Vocal Coach in Brent and a celebrity judge. So successful is our choir that even before last year’s competition, we had to place children on a waiting list to join. Needless to say, the waiting list has grown immensely, with choir now being the most popular musical session here at Oakington Manor. We are overwhelmed that to date, our rendition of Joyful, joyful has set a record on our school website, receiving over 161, 000 ‘hits’ since July 2013. Please help us to make it 200, 000!!

This year, we are preparing a four part harmony a cappella  version of  “All you need is love” (Beatles) re arranged by our Director of Music and Drama, Mr. Francis, featuring solos from two Year Six girls. The final is on March 31st.
