The school drive was colourfully decked with banners and union jacks to remind everyone to put Oakington Summer Fayre as a priority in their diaries.
Every year group prepared their abundant decorations and signs to adorn their stalls or games.
The day was soaked in glorious sunshine. Mr Roy and Mr Ben had already put up the white marquees and now each year group trickled onto the field to commence their trimmings.
The Nursery set up a bottle tombola.
Reception a toffee apple and candy floss stall
Year 1 set up the afternoon tea stall
Year 2 a plant stall
Year 3 a football extravaganza
Year 4 a sweetie shop
Year 5 a coconut shy
LCC a face paint stall
and Year 6 a set of teacher stocks
Mr Myles set up a treasure hunt in the woods
and Mr Webster a strength game
The fair rides arrived just after lunch and it didn’t take the men long before the stage was set and only the staff and teachers had to arrive from saying goodbye at the end of the teaching day.
WHAT A CROWD!!!! Everyone was there!!!!
The mammoth slide proved to be one of the best attractions followed by the candy floss stall.
