In Year 2 for Unicef ‘Day of Change’, we were looking at food made from Somalia. We made some scrumptious biscuits called buskud. The recipe can be found on Youtube.
These biscuits are made during Eid and taste delicious. They melt in your mouth as soon as you eat them. The children in 2PM helped grate the zest of the lemon, weigh out the flour, butter, sugar and crack some eggs, where one didn’t quite find the bowl!!! Some children were reading out each step of the recipe whilst the other children measured out the ingredients. Most children dressed up in blue and white and Mrs Mandalia wore a traditional outfit donated by Mrs Ali. Thank you!
